Aptera is aiming to get a little more time in the sun. The once-dead and now-resurrected startup unveiled a new “production-intent” solar-powered electric vehicle that it made with a little help from legendary Italian automotive designers Pininfarina.

Californian start-up Aptera has debuted what it claims to be the first production-ready solar electric vehicle that doesn't need to be plugged in for day-to-day driving, developed with help from Pininfarina.

Aptera Motors is bringing the first of its kind solar powered vehicle to the market as early as the end of 2025.

Aptera Motors, a pioneer in solar mobility, will unveil its production-intent solar electric vehicle at CES 2025 (January 7-10), developed with Pininfarina’s aerodynamic expertise. The company’s booth at CES 2025 is located at CP-517 in the Central Plaza of the Las Vegas Convention Center.
