The biggest full moon of 2025, a so-called supermoon, will rise on Wednesday, Nov. 5, lighting up the night sky with its dramatic glow.

The biggest and brightest supermoon of the year, the “Beaver Moon,” is currently illuminating the night sky, as the lunar sphere enters its closest orbit to earth.

November’s full moon, called the Beaver Moon, will reach peak illumination on Nov. 5 and be 221,817 miles, or 356,980 kilometers, from Earth.
