A fire involving an oil spill at a Consumer Energy power plant Monday afternoon will not result in loss of power for customers, the company said.

The Michigan State Police are investigating the cause and origin of a fire at a Consumers Energy plant in Bay County, officials said. The fire was reported at about 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 17, at Consumers Energy’s Dan E.

Consumers Energy says there were no injuries and there is no risk of a power outage after a fire sparked at one of its energy plants Monday.
