The largest of the blazes, the Palisades Fire, is more than 35 square miles. That’s more than half the land size of Washington, D.C. A second fire, the Eaton Fire, is now more than 22 square miles. The Palisades Fire threatens thousands of structures inside the fire’s perimeter.
