A small plane crashed into a San Diego neighborhood, setting about 15 homes on fire and forcing evacuations along several blocks.

Authorities in California say no-one was seriously injured in the residential area but at least two plane passengers have died.

SAN DIEGO — A small plane crashed into a neighborhood in Tierrasanta early Thursday morning, according to the San Diego Police Department. Police said the incident happened around 4 a.m., at the intersection of Sample and Salmon Street. Crews are on the scene of the crash, working to put out a fire at a two-story residence.
