There were 10 cautions and an Atlanta-record 47 lead changes, alongside a pileup of at least 16 cars, the biggest in the history of Atlanta Motor Speedway. Last race: William Byron captured his second Daytona 500 win while narrowly avoiding a final-lap crash.

The NASCAR Cup Series kicked off its new season with the Daytona 500 this past Sunday. William Byron beat out the competition to win the race for the second straight year. Byron became the first back-to-back winner of the Daytona 500 since Denny Hamlin in 2019 and 2020.
