The Patriots interviewed Josh McDaniels on Tuesday. Not surprisingly, they are expected to hire McDaniels as their offensive coordinator, Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports. McDaniels returns to a familiar job. He previously held that role from 2006-08 before becoming the Broncos’ head coach and from 2012-21 before taking over the Raiders.

Josh McDaniels is no stranger to Boston. In 2025, he'll make his third trip to the city, taking helm of the Patriots' offense.

New England is expected to hire Josh McDaniels as head coach Mike Vrabel's new offensive coordinator, a position he held on two previous occassions, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported on Tuesday.
