School officials in DeKalb County and Decatur have decided whether or not to open campuses on Wednesday as wintry weather lingers in GA.

Authorities are searching for a Georgia man accused of stabbing an off-duty Atlanta police officer during a confrontation after a hit-and-run over the weekend.

A boil water advisory has been issued in Dekalb County, Georgia, located in metro Atlanta, due to a water main break.

A car wreck that happened Monday morning has caused a temporary road closure. According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, the wreck happened at around 9:00 a.m. and caused a blockage on the northbound lane of Alabama 117 near the Georgia state line.

According to the DeKalb County Police Department, officers responded to the 2600 block of Wesley Chapel Road in reference to a person shot shortly before 6:40 p.m. When they arrived, they found a 25-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds lying in the parking lot.

“The boil water advisory will remain in place until the DeKalb County Department of Watershed Management is cleared to lift the Advisory following water sampling protocols by the Georgia Environmental Protection Division and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency,” the latest alert from the county says.
