PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Two people who played the Arizona lottery won big and had even bigger winnings because they used the Power Play on Monday. Officials say somebody bought a Powerball ticket at the Clark’s Market Sedona on Verde Valley School Road and won $50,000. Since they played the Power Play, those winnings doubled to $100,000.
More than 260,000 other Powerball tickets sold in the United States also won prizes ranging from $4 to $100,000, the lottery said. The Powerball jackpot was last won Saturday, Jan. 18, when an Oregon player hit the $329 million grand prize, lottery officials said.
