As President Donald Trump prepares to tour wildfire damage in California, he’s zeroing in on one of his frequent targets for criticism: State water policy.

Some US House Republicans in California are breaking with Speaker Mike Johnson over his suggestion that federal disaster aid be coupled with as-yet unspecified conditions on the wildfire-ravaged state.

The Sacramento Kings and Golden State Warriors have had a rivalry brewing since their meeting in the first round of the 2023 NBA playoffs, but the series has been unexpectedly lopsided recently. The Kings have beaten the Warriors in four consecutive meetings, the last two being by an average margin of 27 points.

The Grizzlies had three players (Jaren Jackson, Desmond Bane, and Luke Kennard) go for over 20 points and Kennard hit seven three-pointers. Ja Morant played the role of facilitator with 16 points (5-9 FG) and 13 assists to fall one dime shy of a season high. He was also active on the defensive end of the floor.

While national exit polls reveal some information about the youth vote in 2024, there were no exit polls for California and neither the state nor the federal government release age-specific voting data,

California voters shifted right. Experts say reasons could range from fewer young people voting to changes in ideology.
