Ann Wick's parachute "fully" deployed "as designed" before her death, according to the skydiving company A 55-year-old woman from Minnesota died in a skydiving incident in Arizona last week, authorities said.

Ann Wick, a registered nurse who grew up in Burnsville, had jumped hundreds of times before, her brother said.

Police responded to the skydiving center, where the 55-year-old Minnesota woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

An avid skydiver who had made nearly 300 jumps died in a parachuting accident, Arizona police and news sources reported. Ann Wick, 55, of Minnesota, died in the accident at Sky Dive Arizona at about 4 p.m. Friday, Jan. 24, the Eloy Police Department said in a news release.

The University of Arizona’s men’s and women’s swim and dive teams swept the University of Minnesota, securing an impressive win against the No. 24 ranked school. The women won 156-144 while the men beat the Golden Gophers 162-147.

Authorities are still investigating to determine an exact cause, but said in a press release that there were "complications" during the dive.
