The Connecticut Sun denied guard Marina Mabrey's request to be traded, a move that she asked for earlier this month. Mabrey arrived in Connecticut last summer after requesting a trade from the Chicago Sky prior to the All-Star break.

The Connecticut Sun have declined to trade Marina Mabrey. Her agent isn't happy. Marcus Crenshaw of The FAM agency took a rather big swing in a statement to ESPN's Alexa Philippou as the outlet reported the Sun's decision, outright stating that his client doesn't want to stay with the team:

Arike Ogunbowale has entered the chat about Marina Mabrey. In case you’re unaware, Marina requested a trade after the Connecticut Sun moved on from all five of its starters and head coach, Stephanie White. Requesting a trade is reasonable, given all the changes. However, for now, the Sun denied her the opportunity to move on and plan to keep her.
