Republican Justin Eichorn, within hours of abandoning his seat in the Minnesota Senate, arrived in federal court Thursday afternoon on allegations that he solicited prostitution from a Bloomington police detective posing as a 17-year-old girl.

Minnesota Sen. Justin Eichorn resigned from the state Senate on Thursday in the wake of a federal criminal charge accusing him of soliciting sex from someone he thought was 17, but turned out to be an undercover cop.
