The single-socket Intel Xeon W-3400 and Xeon W-2400 processors will bring up to 56 cores along with support for DDR5, PCIe 5.0 and other new technologies to workstation PCs starting in March.
Specifically, AMD is pitting its Epyc 4004 processors against Intel's low-power Xeon E-2400 series processors, which can be had with between 4-8 cores and are capable of boosting to 5.6 GHz.
