Since New Year's, emu sightings have occurred in Maryland's Wicomico and Caroline Counties, and most recently, in Sussex County, Delaware.

An emu, nicknamed Claudius, was rescued from a suburban street outside of San Diego. The bird is now receiving medical care from the San Diego Humane Society while officials search for his owner.
