WASHINGTON — Police are searching for two men who were reported firing guns in Northwest D.C. leading to an officer to shoot at the men Tuesday. According to the Metropolitan Police Department, two officers were conducting traffic enforcement on Georgia Avenue shortly before 3:30 p.m.

D.C. police said an officer was involved in a shooting in Northwest on Tuesday afternoon. The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said the shooting that the officer was involved in happened in the area of Georgia and Quebec avenues.
