Longtime law enforcement officer Tony Andronas announced his bid for re-election as Washington County sheriff. Andronas cited his proven record of accomplishments during his time as sheriff, his 30 years of law enforcement experience and his dedication to the community and the families who call Washington County home.

An investigation is underway after Monroe County officials say scammers are impersonating the sheriff’s office. District Attorney Mike Mancuso is warning that county offices have received multiple tips from residents reporting to have received calls from persons claiming to be from the sheriff’s office.
