Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy acknowledged on Wednesday that talks in London had been marked by emotions and expressed hope that future joint work would lead to peace.

(Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump is frustrated with the pace of talks on ending the war in Ukraine and President Volodymyr Zelenskiy is going in the wrong direction when it comes to negotiations, White House spokesperson Karoline Leavitt said on Wednesday.

The Trump administration is pressuring Ukraine and Russia to end their years-long war. If the two sides aren't able to make a deal soon, the administration is threatening to walk away from ceasefire talks.

Ukraine is ready to negotiate but not to surrender, Ukraine's Deputy Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko said on Wednesday as details emerged in media reports of a U.S. proposal for a deal which would see Ukraine give up almost all territory currently occupied by Russia.
