The Investigation Discovery series follows Natalia Grace, a Ukrainian orphan with a rare dwarfism condition, as she "is forced to navigate a number of seemingly insurmountable challenges," per a press release.

The second installment of The Curious Case of Natalia Grace was originally set to be the final chapter of this captivating story. But the conclusion of Part 2 ended on a cliffhanger, with Natalia’s new adoptive family telling production that “something ain’t right with Natalia” and that they’re “done” with her.

The series follows the Barnett family, who initially adopted what they assumed to be a 6-year-old Ukrainian orphan with spondyloepiphyseal dysplasia, a rare bone growth disorder.
