TBC Bank Uzbekistan (TBC UZ) has signed a long-term strategic partnership with Mastercard, as the digital bank continues to build out its infrastructure for global payments and money transfers.

TBC Bank ("TBC UZ"), to support its continued growth. Under the terms of those arrangements, TBC PLC retained 60% ownership of TBC UZ and each of the EBRD and IFC acquired 20% of TBC UZ.

The governance structure previously in place for TBC UZ will largely be replicated for the new holding company, with a fresh shareholders’ agreement outlining board and shareholder reserved matters.
