Big Sean plays the Morpheus role, which was played in the movies by Laurence Fishburne, while Smith takes on Neo. Smith anchors verses one and three and Big Sean mans the middle verse of the single, which was produced by OBanga, who also sings the song's hook.

Alongside the single, Smith has officially announced his upcoming album, Based On A True Story, set to drop in March 2025. This marks his first full-length project in over 20 years, featuring previously released tracks like You Can Make It, Work of Art, and TANTRUM, his explosive December collaboration with Joyner Lucas.

In the new clip, Big Sean portrays the Morpheus character (played by Laurence Fishburne in the franchise) to Smith’s Neo. “Look, you’ve made some awesome career choices your whole life. There’s only one you truly regret. Well, maybe two, but we’re not gonna focus on that one,” Big Sean tells Will, ostensibly referring to his infamous Oscars slap.
