Manchester bomb plotter Hashem Abedi has been moved to Belmarsh prison after an attack on three prison officers, it is understood. The guards were attacked with hot oil and homemade weapons at HMP Frankland in Co Durham on Saturday.

Two prison officers allegedly stabbed by one of the plotters of a deadly bomb attack at an Ariana Grande concert in Manchester, England, eight years ago are in a stable condition in the hospital, the union representing them said Sunday.

Prisoners housed in separation centres have been stopped from using kitchens following an attack by the brother of the Manchester Arena bomber. The Prison Officers Association (POA) said 28-year-old Hashem Abedi - the brother of Salman Abedi - threw hot cooking oil over the guards before stabbing them with homemade weapons on Saturday.
