The president of Nintendo has given the first official update on how much the upcoming Switch 2 console will cost. An exact price has not yet been confirmed by Nintendo but in the past few months, there have been a few different rumours that the console will cost around $400.

Nintendo’s latest earnings report is out and sales of the Switch console have plummeted after the Switch 2 rumors and announcement, exactly as you’d expect. Switch sales are now projected to hit 11.0 million for the year ending March, down from 12.5 million units forecasted.

When Nintendo first unveiled the Switch 2 last month, we (and everyone else) noticed something peculiar about the new Joy-Con controllers. Now, some recently unearthed patent filings more or less confirm all the theories.
