DC and Marvel just announced a brand new crossover of their two popular characters.

CEOs James Gunn and Peter Safran want to build a new DC Universe with staying power, they don’t need to look to Marvel’s Infinity Saga for inspiration. They should turn back the clock to 1996, when Superman: The Animated Series quietly nailed a formula that still feels fresh almost 30 years later.

DC and Marvel Comics are partnering for two new crossovers featuring Spider-Man and Superman, both of which arrive next year.

Creature Commandos is an animated series that follows a black ops team of monstrous prisoners assembled by Amanda Waller. Season 1 was the first project of the new DCU, premiering on Max in December 2024, and season 2 is now on the way (although we don't have a release date just yet).
