United flight diverted after windshield crack; NTSB launches investigation
The National Transportation Safety Board says it it investigating after a United Airlines flight from Denver to Los Angeles was forced to divert last week due to a crack in the plane's windshield.
The NTSB is investigating a deadly plane crash that happened just outside of the Ruston airport in Lincoln Parish. It comes just after hours after it was reported that three people died in a plane crash in Lafayette Parish.
The Senate Commerce, Science and Transportation Committee recommended legislation that would create new aviation safety standards.
