While the Denver Nuggets have seeingly gotten back on track, they have done it without Aaron Gordon. The power forward has been out with a calf strain and remains on the injury report ahead of the Nuggets’ Sunday night matchup with the Dallas Mavericks.

Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic and forward Aaron Gordon are not playing in the team's home game against the Houston Rockets on Wednesday night.

"Denver Nuggets forward Aaron Gordon (calf strain) intends to make his return today against the Dallas Mavericks after missing the previous nine games," Haynes reported. With a starting lineup of Westbrook, Murray, Michael Porter Jr., Gordon and Jokic, the Nuggets will be getting a glimpse of who they could roll out come playoff time.

The Nuggets have a number of players listed on the NBA injury report for Tuesday night's game against the Mavericks.

Nikola Jokic was ruled out for the game with an elbow injury shortly before tip-off. In his postgame press conference Nuggets head coach Mike Malone said the three-time NBA MVP suffered the injury in warmups. He claimed it "popped up last minute." Malone had no word on how serious the injury could be as he hadn't spoken to trainers yet.
