A man fired shots at someone inside the Harvard Square MBTA station just after 2 p.m. Sunday, injuring no one but causing a flurry of concern in the usually peaceful neighborhood.

Students across Harvard’s campus complained they were left in the dark after the Harvard University Police Department provided little information regarding reports of gunshots in Harvard Square on Sunday afternoon.

Gunfire was reported Sunday at the Harvard Square red line T station, with calls coming in at 2:14 p.m., leading to a search for a man who ran from the station toward Brattle Square wearing a gray hoodie and ski mask.
