Hawaii's Kilauea volcano erupted in another dramatic episode, shooting fountains of lava almost 200 metres into the air.

Pele is the Hawaiian goddess of fire and volcanoes and revered as the divine creator of the Hawaiian Islands. Every year, people leave over 10,000 offerings at Pele’s shrine at Halemaʻumaʻu crater.
