"Jed The Fish" Gould, the influential Los Angeles radio DJ who lorded over KROQ's drivetime slot for 34 years, died April 14 of lung cancer at his home at 69.

A message posted on his Facebook page made the announcement, ‘Jed the Fish passed peacefully away in his beloved home, and the world will never be the same.’

Jed “The Fish” Gould, the pioneering Los Angeles DJ who spent 34 years on influential Los Angeles alternative radio station KROQ -FM as “ Jed the Fish ,” died early Monday morning. He was 69; the cause was lung cancer, of which he had only recently been diagnosed.
