Train traffic was stopped from Tel Aviv's Haganah station to the Savidor station on Wednesday after police stopped and identified a suspect near the train tracks, police said in a statement.

In May 1948, the village was attacked by Jewish Haganah forces as part of a regional “cleansing” operation in the foothills of Mount Carmel, with the goal of expelling the Arab residents.
