After a few minutes, the resident Deputy Stone was speaking to earlier came running back to the front door, yelling that the house was on fire. The sheriff’s office says Stone sprung into action and went inside the home with a fire extinguisher from his cruiser.

The fire was under control within 10 minutes and no injuries ... encampment fires for people who have no intentions of seeking bed space in one of the area’s emergency weather shelters.
