The Jets were always going to have options at No. 7; they have needs all over the roster, and especially for a big playmaker. And they could have picked Penn State tight end Tyler Warren, or Arizona receiver Tetairoa McMillan: Both were still on the board.

NFL draft guru Mel Kiper Jr. and league insider Field Yates went back-and-forth making selections throughout a three-round mock. In that area of the draft, the New York Jets hold one pick in each round. Those slots begin with the top selection at No 7 overall followed by No. 42 and 73.

The Jets selected offensive tackle Armand Membou out of Missouri with the No. 6 pick of the 2025 NFL draft on Thursday. The decision came after head coach Aaron Glenn had a 45-minute video call with Membou, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
