Metro Detroit weather: Some rain returns to the forecast this weekend
DETROIT (FOX 2) - It's another cold start with a bit of wet weather on the way for the weekend. Friday starts with temperatures in the 40s, but they eventually climb to the mid-60s as more clouds move into the area.
No frost advisory is in effect tonight as clouds will keep temperatures in the 40s. A cold front is bringing a chance for a few isolated showers, especially north of M-59 late this evening.
Detroit's weather this week includes sunshine, light winds, and potential showers with high temperatures in the low 60s to low 70s.
Michigan residents may expect cool temps and mostly dry weather this weekend, Oct. 11-12, after a cold front moves through.
Detroit's high temperatures on Tuesday should range from 59-70 across the region, then reach about 58 on Wednesday, the agency said. The high should land at about 60 on Thursday, according to the NWS forecast. Meteorologists with the agency said frost is possible on Wednesday and Thursday night.
Southeastern Michigan should prepare for the season’s first frost chances as cooler temperatures settle over the region this week. Wednesday’s high temperatures will reach only the mid-50s to lower 60s, falling short of the typical mid-60s expected for early October. The coolest conditions are forecast for the Thumb region.
Today: Clouds build in the afternoon. Highs will reach the upper 60s with spotty rain showers closing in towards the evening. Winds: SSW 10-15 mph
