Independent presidential candidate Cornel West will not make Pennsylvania's ballot after the battleground state's Supreme Court on Monday upheld a lower court ruling, and counties started printing ballots.

Cornel West will be on Virginia's presidential ballot in November. Why it matters: The state's Department of Elections had initially disqualified his candidacy because of faulty paperwork before reversing its decision earlier this month.

The Pa. Supreme Court decision cleared the way for counties to begin printing and sending out mail ballots. Secretary of the Commonwealth Al Schmidt has certified the official list of candidates.
