Parent company Stellantis is only moving forward with a European launch, citing the 'dynamic environment' in the US. It doesn't use the word, but we all know what that means: tariffs.

According to a report from Motor1, a Stellantis representative told the outlet the automaker “continues to reassess its product strategy in North America,” and that as a result, “the company is temporarily pausing work on the next-generation Jeep Compass, including activities at the Brampton Assembly Plant.”

Jeep has introduced the latest generation of its Compass compact SUV, featuring a broad array of electrified powertrains and an updated design built on Stellantis's STLA Medium platform. Production will continue at the Melfi assembly plant in Italy-known for its advanced automation and sustainability initiatives-before the model rolls out to global markets.
