Big Lots will reopen dozens of stores this week and later in May as its new owner, Variety Wholesalers, continues to map out its comeback.

As discount retailer Big Lots filed for bankruptcy and closed hundreds of stores, many of its leases were auctioned off. And a number of well known retailers including Ocean State Job Lot, Tractor Supply and Burlington purchased the leases at auction.
