The 1 Series is not a huge car, though – it’s narrower and shorter ... which features the same four-piston calipers and brake pads from the BMW M3, along with larger brake discs.

BMW will not leave the small car segment when it comes time to replace the current 1 Series. The next-generation 1 Series is expected to arrive in 2028 and may share its platform with Mini.
