The United States has announced that it is advancing the production of a new nuclear bomb called the B61-13. The bomb is 24 times more powerful than the one dropped on Hiroshima in 1945.

The B61-13 variable yield gravity bomb is going into full production seven months ahead of schedule, according to a statement by the Sandia National Laboratories (SNL) in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

The NNSA stated that the power of this new nuclear bomb will be 24 times greater than the one dropped on the Japanese city of Hiroshima during World War II.
