This triangle will slowly shift as Mars moves relative to the fixed stars until they are all in a straight line in early April. Unlike asterisms, the so-called Mars Triangle is temporary and in flux.
The Plough, sometimes known as The Big Dipper, is one of the most famous asterisms in the northern hemisphere and a great place to start for stargazing. It is visible all year round from the UK.
