From ending birthright citizenship to declaring an emergency at the southern border, Trump signed several orders restricting immigration.

The orders include declaring a national emergency to deploy military personnel to the border, suspending refugee resettlement and ending birthright citizenship.

On his first full day in office Tuesday, President Donald Trump continued sweeping actions, including ordering the shuttering of all executive branch diversity, equity, and inclusion offices and ordering all employees working in such offices to be placed on leave.

• Establish the Department of Government Efficiency under the Executive Office of the President until July 4, 2026. This is the entity led by Elon Musk, the world’s richest man, and is charged with recommending cuts in federal programs and spending.

President Donald Trump signed an executive order on Monday ending diversity, equity, and inclusion programs in the federal government. Federal agencies and departments have 60 days from the signing of the order to end DEI-related practices.
