Ahead of a news conference on Thursday, ruling body FIS has announced adjustments to its equipment control policy in ski jumping and Nordic combined following the Norway cheating affair. Each athlete will be allowed to use one suit until the end of the 2024-25 World Cup season.

It was revealed in video secretly recorded from behind a curtain then sent by a whistleblower to international media. An FIS official said the illegal alterations were subsequently confirmed by tearing apart the seams of the crotch area on the ski suits in question.

The Norwegian Ski Federation has suspended two staff, including the team coach, after the governing body admitted that the country's ski jumping team cheated by manipulating jumpsuits at the Nordic World Ski Championships in Trondheim.
