Tacoma police are investigating a homicide after a man was shot in the street near a high school. According to police, officers responded to Tacoma’s North End neighborhood at around 2:30 a.m. to a report of shots fired and a man lying in the street.

A man was found shot and killed in Tacoma early Thursday morning, according to police. Officers were dispatched at about 2:30 a.m. to the 4800 block of North 18 th Street for reports of shots fired in the area and a man lying in the street, according to a Tacoma Police Department news release.
