SHREVEPORT, La. - A Webster Parish man beaten outside a downtown Shreveport nightspot late last month has died from his injuries.

When officers arrived at the scene around 9:30 p.m. in the 3000 block of Morningside Drive, they found a man in the front yard with a stab wound to his chest. The Caddo Parish Coroner's office has identified the victim as Darcy Hicks II, 37, of Byram, Mississippi.

The fatal beating happened along Commerce Street just before 5:40 a.m. on Sunday, January 26. The coroner says Temple was struck in the head.
