A Lord of the Rings Game has been hit with another delay, but it may not be all bad news for Weta's cozy title.

Upcoming cozy Lord of the Rings game Tales of the Shire has officially been delayed to this summer due to the team wanting to get it "just right."

The game's developers, Private Division and Wētā Workshop, jointly announced that Tales of the Shire will now be released on July 29. Prior to that, Tales of the Shire was delayed from its 2024 release window and was scheduled to land on March 25. Now, fans will just have to wait until summer to move into the virtual Shire.

One month before its scheduled launch, Tales of the Shire announces that the cozy Middle-earth life sim has been pushed back once more.

Weta Workshop has announced a second delay for its Hobbit life simulator game Tales of the Shire. Originally slated to come out on PS5 next month, it's now been pushed back again by four months to 29th July 2025.
