According to latest reports on the National Weather Service, downtown Savannah saw around three inches of snowfall. The Savannah Morning News was out early Wednesday to capture the beauty of the snow. Residents took to social media to share their excitement and photos of the snowy scenes:

The largest snowfall accumulations didn't fall in the mountains. Instead, it fell along the beaches of North Carolina's Outer Banks.

Parts of the Empire state where walloped with snow Monday and parts of western and central New York expect more lake effect snow through Wednesday. Some communities south and east of Buffalo have already seen at least a foot of snow.
