The Pennsylvania politician who won a Senate seat after a hard-fought race against Trump-backed Dr. Mehmet Oz, is calling for a calmer approach as the country transitions into another Trump presidency. Sen. John Fetterman has urged Democrats to “chill out” ahead of President-elect Donald Trump’s second term.

Donald Trump has clapped back at jokes that he is not really in charge, insisting that his new right-hand-man Elon Musk will never be president. Musk, who has been christened the ‘first buddy’ has been spending a lot of time with Trump since his election victory.

Musk, the owner of car manufacturer Tesla and social media platform X, has been tapped by Trump to lead the proposed Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), with biotech entrepreneur and former Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy, after vocally supporting and financially backing his campaign for president.
