After blowing a 16-point lead in their last outing against Ohio State, No. 11 Purdue (16-5, 8-2) came into their home building with bad intent, and the Wolverines were their victims. The Boilermakers jumped to a 13-2 lead to start the game and never looked back, delivering a 91-64 beatdown of No. 21 Michigan (14-5, 6-2) on Friday night.

Almost everything that could go wrong did go wrong for Michigan basketball as the Wolverines trailed by 25 at halftime en route to a rout by Purdue.

The Wolverines have lost two of their past three games, including a 27-point shellacking suffered at the hands of the Purdue Boilermakers on Friday. As a result, Michigan (14-5 overall, 6-2 Big Ten) has fallen out of the latest Associated Press Top 25 rankings.

After struggling the past few weeks, the Michigan Wolverines had a big opportunity to not only rebound but thrive, going on the road to face No. 11 Purdue. However, Michigan basketball started out flat in West Lafayette, turning the ball over twice early and allowing the Boilermakers to jump out to a 6-0 lead.

Purdue saw a 16-point first half lead against Ohio State vanish in a loss. Friday against Michigan, the Boilers kept pouring it on.
