January 1, 2025, marked the official arrival of Generation Beta. They will live and work in a radically different world. Why should we care today and what must we do?

It’s a new year, and all babies born from Jan. 1 on are part of the youngest generation, dubbed Generation Beta. According to research firm McCrindle, Generation Beta is defined as people born from 2025 to 2039, and by the end of that time they’ll make up 16% of the world population.

Experts predict that babies born in 2025 and later will grow up deeply integrated with AI. Many will live to see the 22nd century.

The start of 2025 will mark the end of Generation Alpha (generally said to have started in the early 2010s) and the beginning of a new generation.

The next 15 years belong to a generation whose members will explore new digital landscapes and live to see the 22nd century.

Generation Beta includes those born between 2025 and 2039, primarily the children of younger millennials and older Gen Zs.
