The College Football Playoff rankings dropped on Tuesday night with LSU coming in at No. 22. The Tigers fell seven spots after a 42-13 drubbing from Alabama. Not much attention is paid to the bottom half of the rankings,

LSU might’ve beaten South Carolina on the field earlier this season — albeit with some officiating controversy — but come College Football Playoff rankings time, the Gamecocks had leapfrogged the Tigers.

As the South Carolina Gamecocks prepare for the final three weeks of the season, they have the opportunity to play spoiler for Missouri and Clemson.
