The beach was amazing. The water was clear and the sand was soft and clean. However there was too many boats around that come very close to you when you are swimming in the ocean and they don’t care …Full review by GrandTour65514251552

there are many great, atmospheric spots along the beach the most annoying people are the ones who keep coming up to you and want to sell you something. it's all worth itFull review by Karol b

There are many beach boys on Nungwi and Kendwa but they are ok, just politely trying to sell something (my experience). We were offered some trips by a boy called Marco (or Marcus). Anyone has any experience with him? Is it safe to go? Is he reliable?

Hi, we will be staying at Royal Zanzibar for 3 days after a safari holiday for our honeymoon. I am worried that 3 days won't be enough time for us to do the things we want to do (visit prison island, spice markets etc). Would be worthwhile extending our holiday? Thanks

Each day can be full of activity and it will be enough to see the highlights. If you want some relaxation time which I highly suggest, you need time to soak up the beauty of this amazing place, then stay longer. You can easily spend a lot more time and still have many new activities to do.

Hello. We are staying at the Double tree at the end of July for a week. I specifically did not book any type of meal plan as we are interested in the flexibility of other restaurants. My question is this : by foot, via beach or road, can we easily find breakfast spots? I saw the z hotel has cinnamon that offers breakfast but have been unable to find any other that caters to non-hotel guests, specifically for breakfast. A couple more questions :D : Should we be taking taxis at night ? Do the hotel staff normally advise if tide times? (Would be easier to plan our walks!) Can we rent Day beds from other hotels - z hotel or kendwa rocks specifically.

It is a bit complicated for breakfast time. The stuff is still sleeping :) Z hotel offer it but to be honest we didn't try it because I was too lazy to go :) Beach Baby Lodge can also prepare you a breakfast if you kindly ask. And the terrace is beautiful to have breakfast. Taxi___ if you were asking for the security at night -don't worry! The whole idea of Tanzania tourist development is based on the security of the tourists. I honestly believe that the "white people" are safer in Zanzibar then in Europe or USA. Sure you need taxi if you want to visit places out of Nungwi :) Day bed on the beach - don't pay more than 5 dollars per day! (I'm not shure how it works at hotels because we rented a private house but on the beach locals will ask you 10-15-up to 20 dollars per day bed.) Don't pay more than 5 :) And if you rent them more days in a role, than ask a discount. Tides____ I spent there 45 days and still don't understand the tides ;/ Was confused every day :) If you need other info's- just write! Hakuna Noma! (Zanzibar, local version of: Hakuna Matata) (works better if you bargain for discounts ;)
